Use any of the following and/or print resources to locate an interesting insect fact. Write a question and the answer, then illustrate your answer.
Look at these examples: Bee Trivia and Ms. Frizzle Interview -
Students will be making a question and answer page similar to Bee Trivia with a link from their question to the answer with illustration on another page. The questions should be a "teaser" type of question - a question about an interesting fact about insects in general or a specific insect. Not how big, where it lives, what it eats, but amazing or intersting facts - simply something to entice people to want to learn more about insects.
Use of books and printed materials available in the classroom is preferred for this first part since it is to be completed in 2 class sessions, before Winter Break, however the following resources may be used if needed.
