This is the best site I have found for accessing educational frameworks and curriculum standards in the US as well as around the world. Putnam Valley has organized extensive links and updates regularly. If you want to learn about assessments this is the place to go!!!

Florida Writes! is a performance test given in January to all public school students in grades 4, 8, and 10 throughout the state of Florida. The test measures expository and narrative writing for fourth graders, persuasive and expository writing for eighth and tenth graders. A rubric, a description of writing standards, is used to determine scores from 0 to 6. Students are given 45 minutes in which to plan, write, and edit a draft paper. All work is done individually. Modifications are made for students with special needs as provided for in their Individualized Educational Plans (IEP). Students are provided with three things when the test begins: a folder containing two lined sheets on which to write the essay, a blank sheet for prewriting and planning, and the test prompt

Campbell County School District Curriculum Department in Gillette, Wyoming provides rubrics posted by subject and grade level. The math rubrics were especially good with separate resources for each problem solving strategy. A valuable resource!

Florida - Orange County Public Schools' benchmarks of achievement organized by subject - the essential concepts, processes and content that all students should know and be able to do at the end of each grade.
Outstanding unit lessons organized by subject areas and then grade level. Once you are at the grade level you can choose a lesson plan. It will take you to an abstract of that lesson and all the activities included in that lesson. If you like what you see and would like to see the entire lesson - simply click "Download Unit".
