The teacher will design and implement appropriate behavioral interventions, provide specially designed instruction to meet the provisions of the I.E.P., and work effectively as a team member with other special education staff. This person will teach district curriculum for student achievement. POSITION:  HS Student Learning Plan Teacher #CT07-008 LOCATION: Stillaguamish Valley School OPENED: April18, 2007 CLOSES: May14, 2007 SUMMARY:  To create a student learning plan program for home schooled students and an environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge appropriate to each student‚Äôs ability. This individual will work enthusiastically to provide an exceptional educational experience for our students, with a focus on life-long learning. POSITION:  Elementary Teachers #CT07-007 LOCATION: Arlington School District OPENED: April18, 2007 CLOSES: May11, 2007 SUMMARY:  The elementary teacher will create a flexible elementary grade program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. This person will improve student achievement, establish effective rapport with students, motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for elementary grade education, in accordance with each students ability. POSITION:  School Psychologist #CT07-006 LOCATION: Arlington High School OPENED: April18, 2007 CLOSES: May11, 2007 SUMMARY:  The School Psychologist is responsible for assessing students for special programs eligibility, placement, and appropriate programming. POSITION:  Speech Language Pathologist #CT07-005 LOCATION: Special Programs OPENED: April18, 2007 CLOSES: May 4, 2007 SUMMARY:  The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing assessment and instruction to disabled students in groups or individual therapy in a variety of settings. The specialist will design and implement appropriate therapy interventions to meet student communication needs through the I.E.P., and work as a team member.

CLASSIFIED POSITIONS: POSITION:  Preventative Maintenance Technician #CL06-085 LOCATION: Transportation OPENED: April 18, 2007 CLOSES: May 7, 2007 SUMMARY:  Under the supervision of the Director of Transportation, the maintenance technician shall be responsible for the preventative maintenance on school buses and district vehicles on an established schedule and will keep them in a ready state of service. The employee will be required to successfully pass random drug testing as required by law and will be required to undergo a post-offer medical examination.
